Brown, Pearson and Guepet Gynecology is pleased to offer the O-Shot® as an alternative natural treatment for issues related to your gynecological and sexual health. This procedure uses a clinically proven technique called Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy to rejuvenate vaginal tissues and enhance sexual pleasure. PRP therapy also provides relief of many gynecological issues that women face today.
What is Platelet Rich Plasma?
PRP is concentrated platelets and white blood cells derived for your own blood that release healing and growth factors to stimulate rejuvenation and repair to the vaginal tissue. The result is increased sensitivity and improved sexual health. To create PRP, your blood is drawn and the platelets are separated using a FDA approved centrifuge.
How is the O-Shot® administered?
The O-Shot® is a non-surgical procedure performed in our office. Once extracted, the PRP is then injected into the numbed area near the clitoris and upper vagina. There is minimal pain and there is no recovery time.
What symptoms are treated by the O-Shot®?
Sexual Dysfunction and low libido are often issues that many women do not discuss. Your sexual health is an important part of your overall health. Many conservative methods of treatment for these symptoms do not offer complete relief. The O-Shot® restores and revitalizes the vaginal and clitoral function, providing improved sensitivity and enhancing sexual drive.
Vaginal Dryness(atrophy) is a common symptom in many women. The O-Shot® provides relief by aiding in increasing the amount of vaginal moisture produced. The PRP injected into the vaginal walls promotes rejuvenation of the vaginal cell walls.
Stress and urge incontinence can be treated in conjunction with this procedure. The PRP can significantly impact urinary incontinence relieving many patients of their symptoms.
Lichen Sclerosus can affect many postmenopausal women. Many women show improvement when treated with PRP during the O-Shot® procedure. There is often a significant improvement in symptoms and decrease in inflammation.
Who performs the O-Shot?
Drs. McCool-Pearson and Guepet have been specially trained and certified to perform this procedure.
What is Thermi-O?
Thermi-O is a combination of the O-Shot® and the ThermiVa treatment. This procedure includes three treatments 4-6 weeks apart. The first treatment includes an O-Shot® and a ThemiVa treatment, the second treatment is ThermiVa only and the third treatment is the last O-Shot®
